The text and photography is by Luke Dalla Bona with forewords by Jean Mendelson (Former Ambassador of France in Cuba) and J. David Markham (President – International Napoleonic Society). An introduction is written by Museo Napoleónico Director Sadys Sánchez Aguilar.

About the Author

Luke Dalla Bona is a Canadian archaeologist who has worked on excavations in much of Canada — from Ontario, west to British Columbia and north to Yukon — since 1987. He has authored numerous academic articles and conference papers and, has made more than 50 presentations at conferences in Canada, USA, Netherlands, Germany, Slovenia, Russia, Cuba and Ecuador. He is a Fellow (with honour) of the International Napoleonic Society and a member of the Masséna Society; speaks English and Spanish fluently and does pretty good in French. He lives in a little seaside village in Ecuador with his wife and son.
